YAG Laser Capsulotomy

What is YAG Laser Capsulotomy?

YAG laser capsulotomy is a quick, non-invasive laser procedure used to restore clear vision after cataract surgery. Over time, some patients develop cloudiness of the capsule that holds the artificial lens — a condition known as posterior capsule opacification (PCO).

The YAG laser creates a small opening in the cloudy capsule, allowing light to pass through clearly again.
